Getting the Right Packing Materials is Essential for Your Move

Packing can also take a lot of time, and it takes even more time if you’re unprepared. That’s why we offer a wide variety of packing materials to help you pack safely and efficiently.

The first thing you’re going to want to have is cardboard boxes in a variety of sizes. Specifically corrugated cardboard boxes are one of the most essential packing materials because they are lightweight but resistant to dents and damage. There are many places to get cardboard boxes since many retailers will give them out for free, but be sure to check that the boxes aren’t already damaged in ways that will make your belongings vulnerable. To save time and make sure you have quality boxes in appropriate sizes, we recommend buying them new.

Two other packing materials you are going to want to have are padding and stuffing. For most items that are being boxed up, you can use sheets or newspaper for padding, but for larger items, like wooden furniture, you should invest in some furniture padding to protect it from scrapes and dents. You also should have some sort of stuffing to put in boxes so that the things in them don’t slide around during your move. You can use wadded up newspaper, but you’d need a large amount and it takes time to wad it all up. We recommend using bubble wrap, which can double as a fun popping distraction after your move is finished.
